The following Terminal Course Objectives (TCOs) are designed to serve as points of reference for the skills the students can expect to acquire or enhance by successful completion of this course.
A. Given a proposed project for which you are to be the project manager, prepare a preliminary plan for your manager or peers that is suitable for making initial decisions concerning bid and proposal preparation.
B. Given the proposed project with incomplete information, gather additional information or develop reasonable and logically consistent assumptions and situations necessary for creating a project plan and executing the project work.
C. Given the proposed project, prepare a proposal to gain approval from the prospective internal or external customer to proceed with the project work.
D. Given that approval has been gained to proceed with the project, establish key project execution, control, and closing processes to manage work activities and to report progress to stakeholders and the project owner.
E. Given an unexpected event that threatens the progress of the project underway, develop and implement an updated project plan with revised cost estimates and schedule to move the project toward completion.
F. Given a project underway and a change in project scope or additional multi-project work that is assigned, develop an updated project plan with revised cost, schedule, and work approach to reflect the scope change, or create a plan for the additional multi-project work.
G. Given a project underway and with the unexpected event and request for added work having occurred, prepare an updated working plan that will be submitted as a written document and presented orally to an independent auditor who will audit the adequacy of the project's management.
